[ How had she gotten herself into this situation?

Garnet had felt so confident that she was finally, finally taking things into her own hands. She'd kept Tantalus on their toes when requesting they kidnap her, had come up with the plan to meet Regent Cid in Lindblum to get to the bottom of what was going on with her mother, and was ready to confront the queen herself. Except now nobody believes she's capable of doing anything except sitting around and waiting for the adults to solve all the problems.

It's infuriating. And even Zidane, who had seemed so supportive of her plan to escape, seems to be on board with it all. Had he only been saying those things as part of hitting on her?

She needs to come up with a plan to get out of here, and fast. She can't let her mother continue to spiral out of control like this, but with how overprotective Steiner and Cid are, she's only going to get one shot at sneaking out of the castle. So some research in advance will be necessary.

Thankfully, her royal status at least permits her to wander around the majority of the castle freely, even if leaving is forbidden. So she's deep in her "reconnaissance work" in the castle when she's startled by Zidane's sudden appearance. ]

Oh!

[ She starts, clearly not expecting to be interrupted. She'll have to come up with a cover story - though hopefully curiosity alone should suffice. ]

[ After everything - defeating Ultimecia, surviving Time Compression - Rinoa had naively thought that all of their troubles would be over. They were heroes! They'd save the world! Surely, that meant that they'd be able to go back to their normal lives without issue.

But anti-sorceress sentiment is still prevalent, of course. When a crazy sorceress tries to take over a world that doesn't like sorceresses to begin with, people tend to think the worst of them. And, unfortunately, there are enough people aware of her powers to be an issue. She avoided being locked away in the Sorceress Memorial once, but that doesn't mean there aren't a disturbing number of people lobbying for another attempt.

So while she wants nothing more than to go back to Timber and finish what she'd started there, she's been staying at Garden out of fear. Walking back into Galbadia territory is dangerous, no matter who her father is. She'd much rather stay in Balamb, where the headmaster is sympathetic and her knight is nearby. At least she probably won't be murdered or imprisoned here.

Still, it's hard. And while she's been trying not to burden Squall too much with her troubles - their relationship is still relatively new, and given how private a person he is, she doesn't want to overwhelm him - there are times where she can't help needing someone to lean on. So that's why she's knocking on his door today: for reassurance, and for some familiar company. Hopefully he's not busy. ]

Squall...? Are you in there?

[ Zelda's still not entirely sure she understands what happened - how one day, she'd woken up in what was apparently a new world - but as the days go by, she has no choice but to accept it. How else can she explain the fact that nobody here has heard of Hyrule, and that they speak of countries and kingdoms never mentioned before in her diplomacy studies?

Getting back, of course, is its own issue. Never mind the fact that part of her enjoys being in a world without her duties (and the guilt that comes along with that freedom). The problem is that she's not even sure where to start. Nobody's sure how they got here in the first place, and none of the legends and old texts mentioned anything about traveling through multiple worlds.

Still, she's determined not to let that get her down. Her friends are probably worried about her, and she still has to get back and unlock her powers if she wants to stand any chance at saving her kingdom. So she's out most days exploring, looking for anything that might clue her in to a way home.

It's on one of those scouting trips that she spots the woman. She doesn't recognize her by any means, but it's the ears that catch her attention: they're pointed, just like hers. Maybe that means...

She walks up to the other woman, curious. ]

Excuse me, but... you wouldn't happen to be Hylian, would you?

[ Another person from her world? Perhaps it's little more than wishful thinking, but it'd be nice to meet someone else from Hyrule. ]

A lot of people have these kinds of posts, so I figured that it's about time I do one of these myself. I know I have a lot to improve on, and your critique will help me improve in roleplaying, writing, and more.

This is primarily meant for active characters, but feel free to talk about characters from a previous RP or whatever. It's all cool.

Of course, constructive criticism is preferred, seeing as how I want to try and better my roleplaying. Just saying "You suck at playing so-and-so" isn't really going to help much.

But comments are screened and anonymous comments are on, so yeah. Go for it.
